Manufacturers are being offered cash across the UK to help train and develop management skills in the sector.
Over £4m is available via the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) through a government-backed programme.
All funding requests have to be led and partially funded by major businesses, who will work with their supply chains or networks to address issues such as:
- Improving the capability of leaders and managers to align skills, job design and other workplace practices
- Increasing the demand for good leadership and management skills
- Developing the opportunities for managers to interact with one another and learn from their peers
The scheme is open to organisations in the manufacturing, construction, financial and legal sectors, and UKCES expects to invest up to £300,000 per successful proposal. The deadline for proposals is 30 July. For more information visit the gov.uk website
