Latest recruitment agency news – Bridgend based pharmaceutical company Biotec Services International has been acquired by US-based company PCI.
The acquisition of Biotec, which provides packaging and distribution services for clinical trials, follows an extensive expansion of its processing facilities in Wales. Last month PCI acquired Tregedar-based Penn Pharma adding pharmaceutical development and contained manufacturing services to its portfolio of clinical trial services, commercial packaging and laboratory services.
In July 2014, Biotec increased its controlled-room-temperature storage area by 100 per cent and its cold-room storage areas by 400 per cent. It also revealed plans to create a second advanced therapeutic medicinal products facility.
