UK workers are now looking for a significant pay rise to move to a new position.
A recent survey by jobs website Monster reports that UK workers will not change jobs unless they receive a pay rise of 20% or more, whilst 10% of workers would not change jobs for a pay rise of less than 5%.
A third of employees said this would be the minimum they needed.
With this knowledge the way firms recruit staff may have to change as they have to work harder to recruit the very best qualified staff.
For someone currently earning £30,000 per annum this would mean a pay rise of over £6,000 would be the minimum amount they may possibly require to move to a new position.
