• Has worked in fast-paced manufacturing and logistics setups.
• Current role focuses on the creation of work orders and picking lists in line with customer demands, creation of transport and export documentation and the organisation of transport.
• Holds an HND in Computing and is proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
• Circa 25 years of industry experience, originally starting out in a toolmaking/machining capacity before moving into design-focused roles around 7 years ago.
• Has worked in heavy industrial and electro-mechanical machine-building environments.
• CAD experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Has worked predominantly with various sheet metals from a design perspective.
• Wide-ranging experience with different machining from early career, including mills (including multi-axis), lathes and grinders.
• Strong all-around engineering knowledge giving an understanding of both the design and development and manufacturing processes.
• Currently completing BEng in Integrated Engineering (predicted 2:1)
• Year in industry as part of studies spent with a well-respected medical device manufacturer working in their R&D function.
• Wide variety of skills gained due to the split nature of degree – CAD experience with SolidWorks and Fusion 360, programming experience with languages such as C++ and Python, experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi and familiarity with MATLAB and LabView
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
• Ideally looking for a role in design/R&D functions but open to all engineering-related opportunities
