The Confederation of British Industry (CBI), has reported that following research undertaken with it’s members, the UK’s economy has grown by 0.7% in the three months to March, up from 0.6% in the previous quarter.
Highlighting the main risks to the UK’s continued economic growth it lists the following key factors:
- The ongoing eurozone worries
- Greece’s bailout package
- A stronger pound, which was already weighing down weak export growth.
The percentage reading indicates the number of firms reporting that business performance was up, compared to those reporting it was down.
