EEF the manufacturers’ organisation, which helps companies to evolve and compete has challenged the next government to drive growth, boost investment and support long-term economic security in the manufacturing sector. The new manifesto from EEF has revealed that manufacturers want the government to promote British manufacturing to drive economic growth going forward,
“After such a traumatic period following the financial crash of 2008 we are now at a crucial stage for our economy, with confidence on the rise and a long-overdue recovery in UK business investment,” said EEF chief executive Terry Scuoler.
“This is delivering stronger growth, boosting job creation and enabling more companies to develop overseas markets.”
EEF’s An Agenda for Government 2020 outlines five key priority policies for manufacturers, including skills, investment in innovation and infrastructure, securing the future supply of energy and resources and staying in the EU. Read More
