Car exports in the UK rose to over five million during the month of July, since the beginning of 2010, reports the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT).
Today, the average car exported is worth more than £20,600, compared with just £10,200 in 2004. More than 130,000 vehicles were manufactured in July – a rise of 2.8 per cent, as 2014’s steady growth continued.
The importance of the UK car manufacturing industry in the UK is shown by the fact that car export values have doubled over the past decade.
